Employees of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books are also took part in the international symposium entitled The Golden Horde as a Model of Steppe Civilization: History, Archaeology, Culture, and Identity”, which is held at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
More than 300 foreign scholars, experts, and public officials participated in the international symposium. This large-scale event is aimed at strengthening the country’s national identity and providing a new scholarly perspective on the history of the Golden Horde.
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, attended the symposium and delivered a speech.
The participants emphasized that the study of history is essential for gaining a deeper understanding of contemporary processes and for building a sustainable future.
