From April 6 to 10, 2026, the VIII International Scientific and Practical Seminar titled “Document Restoration: Traditions and Innovations” was held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. This seminar is considered an important professional event for restorers, collection custodians, and specialists in the field of document conservation

The seminar was attended by A. Tastemirova, Head of the Restoration and Conservation Department of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books, S. Botabekov, Chief Expert, and R. Kireeva, Artist-Restorer.
Traditionally, the seminar serves as one of the largest international platforms for exchanging advanced experience in the preservation of cultural heritage. The key feature of the event is its practical orientation. During the seminar, leading experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan shared their experience.
The event was organized by the Russian State Library, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Eurasian Library Assembly, with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states.
