The event was organized within the framework of the initiative announced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the National Kurultai, aimed at strengthening the culture of reading in society. The main purpose of the campaign was to enrich and preserve the country’s historical and literary heritage, foster a culture of reading, promote spiritual and cultural values, and increase public interest in written heritage.
During the event, specialists from the Restoration and Conservation Department presented information on the restoration work carried out on rare books and manuscripts from the Center’s collection. The fully restored book “The Holy Qur’an” was returned to its owner, and information was also presented on the technical condition of the manuscript “Arabic Grammar” and the expert restoration work performed.
The campaign became an important spiritual and cultural event aimed at preserving and enriching the national written heritage, as well as promoting a reading culture in society.
