On October 23–24, 2025, the XII International Congress “The Library as a Phenomenon of Culture” was held at the National Library of Belarus in Minsk, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The event brought together representatives from the CIS countries, as well as from Indonesia, Mali, Myanmar, Oman, Palestine, Serbia, the United States, Togo, and Turkey.
The Director of the National Center of Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD Zhаndos Bekdildauly Boldykov, took part in the congress and delivered a report titled “Heroes of the Great Victory: The Human Side of War in the Works of Baurzhan Momyshuly.”
Within the framework of the congress, Director of the National Center of Manuscripts and Rare Books Zhаndos Boldykov and General Director of the National Library of Belarus Vadim Gigin signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The parties agreed to implement joint initiatives based on mutual interests and defined areas of collaboration.
