The purpose of the exhibition was to showcase the development of written heritage from ancient times to the present day, to increase interest in national cultural and historical values, and to explain the importance of preserving and protecting manuscripts.
The exhibition featured rare manuscripts in Old Turkic from the 8th–9th centuries written in runic script; documents from the 10th–13th centuries of the Karakhanid period; manuscripts from the 13th–15th centuries of the Golden Horde; and materials from the 15th–19th centuries of the Kazakh Khanate written in Arabic, Persian, and Chagatai, all preserved in the collections of the National Center.
In addition, the exhibition shelves displayed works written in Old Turkic script, books in Latin script, and small-format books, which were presented to visitors and library staff.
During the event, information was provided about the historical significance of ancient monuments, the specific features of their study and preservation, and explanatory work was carried out on the importance of transferring valuable documents held by the population to the Center’s specialists.
